If these are the boys next door, you must live in the nakedest neighborhood ever! The Stage Door Johnnies is the world’s only all-male burlesque group of its kind. Based in Chicago, performers Ray Gunn, Jett Adore, and Bazuka Joe give the audience a rare glimpse at a masculine twist on the historic art of striptease.
In just three years the ‘Johnnies’ have stripped their way across the U.S., Canada, and Australia headlining burlesque festivals, teaching workshops, and touring full stage shows.
The Stage Door Johnnies have been inducted into the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas with the title of “Best Group” 2011; named “Artists of the Year 2010” by the Burlesque Innovation Guild; and named in the Top 10 performers in the world by 21st Century Burlesque Magazine.
Unique and theatrical, the ‘Johnnies’ re-imagine the classic conventions of Bettie Page and Gypsy Rose Lee and create a genuine male counterpart with a strong base in dance, theater, and acrobatics.
Bazuka Joe is the sweet and charming Johnny. He’s also known as the “Asian Invasion” of burlesque… and if you think you like his crouching tiger, just wait until you see his hidden dragon!
Bazuka has headlined at the Dallas, Best of Midwest Burlesk, Show-Me Burlesque, Montreal, and Kansas City Burlesque Festivals and has toured all over the U.S., Canada, and Australia.
Bazuka is trained in contemporary dance, theater, and vault staff and uses his charm to create witty, clever acts that touch the hearts (and loins) of every audience.
Ray Gunn is the rough and tumble Johnny… and like your morning cup of coffee, he’s strong, black, and keeps you going all day long!
Ray has headlined at the Texas, Windy City, Kansas City, Best of Midwest Burlesk, and Show-Me Burlesque Festivals and toured countless other cities internationally. Ray serves on the creative team of ‘Beggar’s Carnivale’ in St. Louis and is known for his insightful burlesque workshops.
Trained in contemporary dance, acrobatics, capoeira, and pole dancing, Ray creates imaginative, athletic, and often avant garde solo acts
Jett Adore is the glamorous and elegant Johnny. Seven fans have been blinded by the bling covering this Diamond Stud, so a word of caution, you should always come wearing protection.
Jett has headlined at the Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Best of Midwest Burlesk, and Kansas City Burlesque Festivals. He was named “Most Innovative” at the Burlesque Hall of Fame 2011, and won “Best Duet” with Chicago Starlet, Frenchie Kiss, in 2012.
Jett has over 15 years experience as a professional actor/dancer. His acts are over-the-top theatrical spectacles.

Sublime Boudoir brings elegant burlesque and cabaret performances to delight its audiences. The first set of Sublime Boudoir shows spanned four evenings and took place in 2012 in truly stunning locations in Italy and The Netherlands. Each evening included delightful signature cuisines. The surrounding decor and stages were magnificent, including an amazingly life-like, tall tree which filled the voluminous heights of the Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam. The tree’s branches filled the room with the aroma of fresh flowers which covered its branches, and it stood tall behind the large gilded bird cage which Roxy Velvet would perform in. Beautifully decorated dinner tables were arranged in front of the stage to seat the evening’s guests. There seemed to be as many people serving food and champagne as there were guests, and the service left you feeling truly pampered. Even the fabulous Armitage Shanks declared that he had never had the pleasure of appearing at such a luxurious event before.

Madame Risquée is an alias and name of the business brought to life by Marco Buschman who started out as a retro DJ. Getting fed up of the lack of burlesque parties in The Netherlands, he decided to start some himself, together with a group of like-minded people.
Compared to the USA, UK and Australia it took a while longer before the newly popular art of burlesque reached the Netherlands. The mysterious Madame Risquée has been one of main initiators of burlesque in the Netherlands and has been at the forefront of most burlesque events since 2003. The Madame (co-) organises shows and parties with a ‘warm retro style feel’, scouts for talent and develops acts and burlesque concepts. A huge contributor to the burlesque community in the Netherlands, Madame Risquée produces a variety of shows including Burlesque FreakOut, Wonder Salon, Chocolate Burlesque, 1920’s underground Party RaZzin’, workshops, Dr. Sketchy’s Amsterdam branch and more.

Then, at the end of the movie, I get the girl. Now that’s what I call a good day at the office!”

Kittie Klaw is one of the pioneering performers of modern day burlesque in the United Kingdom. What started out as a hobby at university while studying psychology, burlesque became the foundation of Kittie’s career. As well as being a renowned burlesque performer in her own right she also offers professional theatre production and performer coaching services. Kittie is also the founder of the long standing popular burlesque website and forums Ministry of Burlesque.
Tattooed beauty, Anna Fur Laxis (a pun on anaphylaxis), is a pin-up model and noted burlesque performer. Incorporating classic burlesque elements with unique skills such as axe-throwing and magic tricks, her numbers are sure to take the viewer’s breath away.
With internationally-acclaimed performances, she is a resident performer at prestigious burlesque clubs such as Jeepers Peepers Burlesque (York, UK) and Wet Spot (Leeds, UK).
One of her career highs was achieving first runner-up in the Burlesque Hall of Fame 2011 Miss Exotic World, which, according to Anna, lead to some very exciting career opportunities. She performed a number called ‘The Prestige’ which became one of the most talked about performances in that event. It was a captivating strip-tease where she ‘magically’ made her clothes vanish piece by piece.
On one interview, when asked about her distinctive style, Anna shares “…although I am very keen to respect and give homage to the history of burlesque in my numbers, pushing boundaries and innovation is, to me, ultimately the most important and inspiring thing.” And truly inspiring she surely is.
Miss Beeby Rose has been at the forefront of the burlesque community in Amsterdam since 2003. Beeby was the very first ‘neo-teaser’ in the Dutch burlesque scene to tour internationally. Miss Beeby’s style is reminiscent of the golden era of burlesque, showing elements of grace, beauty, poise and elegance mixed with wisp of exotic flavour and gypsy style. Beeby Rose has been trained in Classic Oriental Dance and she has a artistic background in theatre design.
Miss Beeby Rose was also the producer of the Amsterdam Burlesque Festival 2009 and 2010, and producer of the luxuriously decadent Sublime Boudoir hosted in Amsterdam in 2012.
